Library Rules and Regulations Rules:

General Rules:

  • Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
  • Silence to be maintained.
  • No discussion permitted inside the library.
  • Registration should be done prior to be a library member for using the library resources.
  • Personal belongings should be kept on baggage counter.
  • Textbooks, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the library.
  • Using Mobile phones and audio instruments with or without speaker or headphone is strictly
  • prohibited in the library premises.

  • Library Premises:
  • Enter your name and Sign in the register kept at the entrance counter before entering library.
  • Show the books and other materials which are being taken out of the library to the staff at the entrance counter.
  • The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the member shall return the same immediately.
  • Library borrower cards are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
  • Eatables are not allowed in the library premises.

  • Circulation System:
  • Books will be issued on presentation of the library card.
  • Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and they will be responsible for any type of
  • Damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.

  • Overdue Charges:

  • Borrowed book should be returned on / before the due date, if returned late fine will be charged for the delayed period.( Re.1.00 per day).

  • Care of library borrower card:
  • Take special care to maintain the library borrower cards.
  • Members are responsible for the book issued on library borrower card.

  • Loss of borrower's card:
  • Loss of borrower card should be reported to the librarian immediately.
  • Duplicate card may be issued against Formal application and fine.

  • Validity of Borrower's card:
  • Library borrower card is valid up to the one year only & at the end of the course borrower cards.

  • No due Certificate:
  • No dues certificate will be given after returning all the issued books & borrower's card.

  • Care of Library Books:
  • Students are require to handle the books/ Journal very carefully; marking with pencil, writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously.
  • In such case reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.

  • Book Bank:
  • Book bank facility will be provided to the entire registered library members for each semester by paying RS.1000.00 as a deposit and 15% of the total amount of set of Books.
  • Free Book Bank service will be given to Sc/St students by producing attested copy of caste certificate annual income certificate. (Annual income should be less than 2 lakhs)
  • Books should be returned after completion of the examination or else late fee will be charged.

  • Reference Section:
  • This section has Encyclopedia, dictionaries, Reference books & handbooks etc. which are only available for reference.
  • User can make use of these resources in library only.

  • Journal Section:
  • In this section journals & general magazines are arranged department wise on the display racks.
  • Previous issues are arranged in the drawer.
  • Bound volumes of periodicals are arranged in racks which are meant only for reference Within the library.
