About NSS :-

The National Service Scheme was launched in2006 in our college with 100 students unit . It aims at the involvement mainly of undergraduate students on a voluntary basis in various activities of social service and national development which while making a contribution to socio-economic progress would also provide opportunities to the students to understand and appreciate the problems of the communities, awaken social consciousness and inculcate in them a sense of dignity of labour. The NSS Units of our college has good number of enthusiastic volunteers.

 

Impact :-

Through extension and outreach programs, we sensitize the students to develop social values, widespread their responsibilities and knowledge in social issues and problems by making them to involve with the community people.Through this, we establish a good relationship with NGO, and join hands with local community organization and serve the community. Students with profound interest attain the social values and responsibility. Above all, the students get hold of social justice, value, responsibility and sustainability.

 

Extension Activities :-

Our college inculcates social value and responsibilities to the faculty members and students by imparting extension activities in the neighborhood for holistic development of the society. Every year, all the departments render their social services to the community under “Department Associations”.  All Students are engaged in the extension activity which comes under the curriculum. Apart from them, National Service Scheme and National Cadet Corp also serve the society through Special Camp organized in the University. In addition, outreach programs and invited lectures are also given to the community.

 

Tree Plantation :-

Tree plantation is good for the environment. Everyone knows that trees are the source of oxygen. They inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen without which the survival of living beings is not possible on earth. Trees also provide us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air, filtered water, shade, and food. Every year NSS students along with the student association have planted the trees at various places.
Voters Enrollment form :-

A large number of students who are in their first year degree and have completed 18 years do not have their voter cards ,all such students are asked to fill the voters enrollment forms .These forms are then submitted to the election enrollment officer .They come to college and tell the importance of voting to the budding young engineers.

Blood Donation :-

On the Occasion of Karmaveer Jayanti or Republic day Blood Donation camp was organized by National Service Scheme unit. The Camp was inaugurated by Principal of our college.In this camp Overwhelming number of Volunteers of different departments voluntarily donated the blood. Maouli blood bank collected the blood .35 Volunteers donated the blood.
Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s Centenary year Celebration :-

On the occasion of centenary year celebration of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha students were asked to draw the posters of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil . Students had drawn the posters which were appreciated by Principal ,Faculty ,staff and all the students of the college.

KBP Talks :-

Speeches of eminent persons were organized in this program. Mr. Kailas Bhat gave the speech on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.
Mr. Aditya Yadav gave talk on Career in digital Marketing.
Dr. Bharat Patankar co-founder and President of the Shramik Mukti dal gave the talk on democracy and power of people.

PANI FOUNDATION CAMP :-

Student of our college participate in rain water harvesting camp. Ajit Pawar of our college participated in such Pain foundation camp.

Speeches on Democracy, Election and good Governance :-

NSS student of our college Mr.Pankaj Gandhi stood first in district and had participated in the program that was held in New Delhi.

Savitribai Phule Jayanti :-

Savitribai Phule (3 January 1831 – 10 March 1897) was an Indian social reformer, educationalist, and poet from Maharashtra. She is regarded as the first female teacher of India. Along with her husband, Jyotirao Phule, she played an important role in improving women's rights in India during British rule. Phule and her husband founded the first Indian run girls' school in Pune, at Bhide wada in 1848.[a] She worked to abolish the discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender. She is regarded as an important figure of the social reform movement in Maharashtra. A philanthropist and an educationist, Phule was also a prolific Marathi writer.

Swamy Vivekanand Jayanti 2019 :-

Vivekanands Jayanti is known as National Youth day celebrated on 12th Jan. The country realized that the ideology and vision of Swamiji can be a great way to inspire the coming generation .He is a great spiritual leader who spread the word of brotherhood in the world. He is the guiding light to the whole nation
Republic day Celebration :-

The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by the Principal of the college. This was accompanied by the rendition of National Anthem .The energetic performances by the NSS , MESA AND Computer department students filled the crowd with great energy and enthusiasm. The heartfelt renditions of patriotic songs aroused feelings of love and brotherhood among all.

Street Play :-

Our volunteers did a street play on blood donation as our NSS unit arranges blood donation camp in our college..Our volunteers tried to explain the importance of blood donation through this skit. They tried to convey the message to audience that blood donation is the best donation, you can save someone’s.through
Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration :-

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated to pay tribute to Martyrs. All NSS Students along with faculty had gathered on the ground .They had given Patriotic slogans . The atmosphere was full of spirit .

Clean India Mission :-

Clean India Mission is a national level campaign by the Government of India .This mission aims to clean towns ,streets, roads and infrastructure of the country . Every year college students clean college campus ,Ajinkyatara fort ,Places of workship. NSS students had cleaned the street after the Maratha rally for reservation.

Shahu Boarding :-

NSS Students visit to shahu boarding on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day and distribute fruits, sweets and donate money to the boarding for the welfare of the orphanage. They also inquire about them and create the family atmosphere . Some times they also visit to remand home and distribute sweets . Entertainment program is organized for the children's.

Martyrs Day 23rd March :-

The day is celebrated with great patriotism in the college. Students gather in the hall on this day and tribute is paid to Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his life for the country at a very young age. Debate competition is organized every year to aware students, the Indian freedom struggle and inculcate Desh Bhakti in everybody's mind .

Personality development Lecture :-

Engineering graduates are expected to be employable and ready for work place when they complete their studies . They should have technical knowledge in addition to the relevant soft skills ,attitude, perception towards life. This balance gives competitive edge over another. Modern world expects latest knowledge in emerging areas, cool and competent engineer who can acquire themselves well in the workplace. They should have team work ,learning new subjects and leadership .

Police Mitra :-

Police Mitra is an initiative by the Maharashtra Police to make the police administration more friendly. The police Mitra assist the police in policing duties like crime prevention, crowd management, traffic management, safety of women, children and senior citizens.To make the society more safe and secure the active individual and assistance of the citizens is very important and this is part of the community policing initiative which is being implemented across the globe. NSS students have register as 'Police Mitra ‘and were willing to spare their time to work hand in hand with Police.

Run for Unity :-

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is called as the iron man of india. "Sardar Patel will always be seen as a symbol of unity," 'Run for Unity‘ which is being organized as a mark of celebrating the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Participants took a pledge to follow Sardar Patel’s path and maintain unity in the nation .Run was his way of paying respects to Sardar Patel, who sacrificed a lot for the nation. Enthusiastic participants took part in the run. Students had a loud cheers of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai‘.

Constitution Day (26th November) :-

The day is celebrated in the college to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India . On this day there is a essay competition and debate competition. In the evening students and staff gather on ground with the banners in their hands which has the information related to constitution , Preamble, Fundamental rights. The Indian National pledge is recited by all the students. Fundamental rights are read by one of the student. Principal of the college distribute the prizes to the winners of the essay competition and debate competition. The program is ended with National Anthem.


Chess competition :-

The purpose of the tournament was to provide opportunity for developing players to compete against players with similar strength ,offering them a friendly yet competitive environment . The tournament was played in round-robin format . Students were encouraged to participate in large number. Playing chess increases the concentration
Rangoli Exhibition :-

In the college rangoli competition is organized at number of occasions. The objective of the program is to find out the hidden talents of the students. Everyday students practice rangoli in morning fresh air and think of creativity. The different themes such as save girl child ,Logos on computer ,National integration, legend portraits are exhibited
4th International Yoga Day(21st June 18) :-

“The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body”. It helps a person to manage stress. Other physical benefits of yoga include:
increased flexibility
increased muscle strength and tone
improved respiration, energy and vitality
maintaining a balanced metabolism
weight reduction
cardio and circulatory health
improved athletic performance
protection from injury


Media coverage of Extension Activities :-

Society is aware of the different activities that are taking place in the college campus and they can also do such activities. Their mind set is developed by having media coverage.
